Up: Game 3  Up: Game 3 Outline

Bad circumstances.

You are surprised when you walk in to find only the Alpha and Max present. At the few gatherings you've been to, it's usually at least 6 members at least, and usually Cameron is there, though his absence is understandable now. It's kind of ominous that only you were summoned. Perhaps he had figured something out that only involved you. You hope that it isn't something bad.

"Take a seat," says the Alpha, pointing to the open chair at the table along with them. You squeeze into it, still feeling like cursing at the snugness of it. "Things arn't looking to good," says the Alpha, "We've been over possibilities. Max informs me that we can't do anything to drastic to remove the ring as it may view such an attempt as a threat and react in kind."

"Imagine trying to cut your finger off only to lose your own hand instead," chimes in Max in a unfittingly jovial tone. Regardless of the circumstance, he seems to be enjoying himself far more the seems appropriate. You begin to think there is a reason he is called 'Mad' Max. "Yes," says the Alpha in an annoyed tone, "And you arn't loosing your weight fast enough to not have a negative effect on the pack. As it is, everyones losing hope, the pack is falling apart, I'm down a Beta to keep everyone in line and moral up, and the pack has been weakened to the point that we're vulnerable if any of our enemies decide to attack."

"Not to mention you have the heads of the alliance visiting soon." Says Max a matter of factly. "Thank you Max for pointing that out." Says the Alpha sarcastically. "Who?" you ask, having not been informed of much of the werewolf political circles. "The Alliance, other packs from about the world. Every so often they gather and meet and discuss their business. If they showed up now, we would probably have ar nearest neighbors attempt a take over of our territory."

"So basically we're a pack of fat werewolves, everyones upset, and everyone else will kill us once were found out." you sum up, thinking about the options here. It's really the ring that is the issue, if you could find some way to magically get it off everything should return to normal, but to do that you'd need a witch. Agatha or Blathory may have an answer, but you've never met Blathory, and from what you know, she may be just inclined to take the situation to her advantage rather then help, and you sort of havn't been in contact with Agatha since you joined the pack. Would she consider you joining it a betrayal?

Of course, you history with looking for magical solutions has only lead you to trouble, as this latest magical mishap has proven, perhaps there is a simple, non-magical way to get the pack back on it's feet until you manage to get the ring of naturally?
