The Great Warrior

"I don't believe any of that!" you snap angrily. "I don't believe in Fate, or destiny, or any of that! And I'm not going to stand around here and listen to this anymore!" You whirl around and stomp out. The wizard starts after you, but the Sage stops him. "She will return...once she meets the Lord of the City" he says quietly.

You walk away from the temple in a huff. You refuse to be used as a pawn by fate or destiny or whatever. You refuse to believe in this 'Princess of the Wild' or 'Lord of the City' stuff. This is all just too wierd and insane. You would continue to rant on to yourself, but your thoughts are interrupted when you are roughly grabbed and shoved into a side alley.

You look at your attackers and see several large men standing before you. They are all well-muscled, wearing tattered pants and sleveless shirts. You were able to fend off the guards in the imperial court, but these guys are much larger than the guards, and far more in number. You wouldn't stand a chance. "Hey there hot stuff," one of them says to you. "What are you doing all alone, hm?"

"What business is it of yours, jerk?!" calls out a voice. This voice is deep and cold, and also seems strangely calm for someone shouting. You and the ruffians all look toward the sound of the voice and see a tall figure standing on the roof. He has short black hair, neatly combed, and wears black pants and a light blue shirt lined with gold. His right hand holds a sword.

"Stay out of this, Seth, this doesn't concern you!" shouts one of the ruffians.

The man, obviously named Seth, laughs. "If you're going to be picking on young girls then I'm making it my concern!" he shouts back, then jumps down from the roof, swinging his sword above his head then bringing it down - right into the shoulder of the first ruffian who spoke. Seth fights off all the ruffians with astounding skill. Each time he swings his sword he makes contact, and yet he never touches you, despite the fact that you're right in the middle of it all.

Before long, Seth has dispatched all the ruffians. Most of them are slain, and the others lie unconcious on the ground. Seth turns to you and sheathes his sword. "Greetings, young lady," he says. "I am Seth."

You stand there a moment, then, for some reason you don't quite comrehend, you break down and tell Seth everything -- starting with your transformation into a woman and ending with your recovery in this village. Then you go on to tell him about how "the Sage said some crazy prophecy about 'Lord of the City' and 'Princess of the Wild' and 'slaying Titans' and a whole bunch of other stuff." Seth looks at you long and hard, then stands up, takes you by the wrist, and leads you back to the temple.

After you come back to the temple, you find the Sage and the wizard waiting for you. The Sage smiles warmly at you, then tells the prophecy again, this time to Seth.

"You, Seth, are the Lord of the City of which the legend speaks. She is the Princess of the Wild. The prophecy clearly states what you two are to do should you accept your places in this world. Now, my question is, do you accept it? Do you choose to accept the path that destiny has shown to you, or do you choose to reject your place?"

Seth considers a moment, then nods. "I accept it" he says calmly and assuredly.

"Excellent," says the Sage. Now the Sage turns to you. "And you? Do you accept your place in this world?"
