Wrong Turn

The peasant smiles. "Why, thank you!" he shouts. "I just was going to ask if you would mind accompanying me home. It really is unwise to walk alone at this hour, and I always appreciate good conversation."

You barely can believe your good fortune! The peasant is not even going to put up a fight. With a spring in his step, he bounds out of the library and down the hall, though still careful not to lose sight of you. Sensing moonrise outside, you run to catch up with him. To your surprise, he enters a storeroom instead of the narrow corridor leading downstairs, and you gladly follow suit, cornering him in the darkness therein.

The sound of the door latching behind you leads the peasant to comment. "Gosh, it sure is dark in here," he muses. "I have a match, so I still can find the way out." As he strikes the match, you can feel your mouth filling with fangs and a tidal wave of saliva.

But when the flame ignites, you see a rubbery face with thick whiskers and a darkening nose leer back at you. The peasant emits a snarl, but it soon turns to heavy laughter. "You must be the other werewolf!" he exclaims, and the two of you soon vanish into the night, reminiscing and searching for actual human beings as prey.
