Battle of the doggies

You back away slowly, looking strangely at the clearly unbalanced werewolf, then swiftly launch yourself towards his neck. Suddenly, he vanishes, and your leap passes harmlessly over the shaggy grey wolf that replaces him. Harmlessly for him, that is, since you smack into the ground on landing.

"Now", he says as he regains his two legs, "we can do this the hard way, or the easy way. I suggest the easy way..."
