Not Alone, After All

Your evening becomes more surreal when a teenage boy walks into the room. "Oh, hello," he says; "does my smoking bother you?"

You sit straight up, never having considered that someone else might be in the house. "I thought that I was alone," you explain. "I came inside to get away from--"

You decide that it might be unwise to mention the talking wolf. "I apologize for the intrusion," you tell the boy. "I'll be on my way, now."

The boy looks surprised. "No, stay a while," he says; "the party's just about to begin. You might want to shave your hands, though. It's going to be a real drag getting those hairs out from between your fingers."
