A Stroke of Luck

"Oh, don't eat me," you moan. "Why would you want to, anyway?"

"To stop you from making such ridiculous comments," answers the wolf. "If you value your life, be a man and don't snivel so. Get up and fix me some kibble."

"I didn't realize wolves ate kibble," you remark.

"Well, if I don't eat you, I have to make do with something," explains the wolf. You make no haste in preparing a bowl of kibble.
