Cabin Fever

A thought hits you. "Fred," you ask, "did I actually mention having a snack before? I don't recall having done so."

"Not exactly," Fred explains, "but I figured you were hungry. It's normal to want a snack after the change, even if you've just had something to eat beforehand."

You scrunch up your forehead, wrinkling your eyebrow. "Change?" you echo, sounding very confused.

"Oh, nothing," Fred says with a laugh. "Tell me something: would you rather have something from the ol' icebox, or something else a little fresher?" He gestures towards the back door, which is slightly ajar. You smile, realizing what he means and suddenly feeling very claustrophobic.
