What Big Eyes You Have

"What's the--" begins the bellboy, but then his eyes widen. "What's the matter with your face?" he stammers.

"What about my face?" you ask, afraid.

"Your eyes are--were--are" he sputters, unable to make much sense. You start to point out his teeth and tongue to him, but they look less severe than you remember. Can the effect of the whistle be temporary?
