Find a pin, but can't pick it up!

"I can talk again?" you gasp.

"Swanja's mute spell must have worn off as soon as she left " explains the dragon. "Being an enchanted white rabbit, you clearly are a lucky charm, resistant to dark magic"

"Well luck won't get me out of this cage!" you groan.

"Oh really?" replies the dragon "You know the old proverb. 'Find a pin, pick it up, then all day you'll have good luck.'"

Looking round, you see a small pin lying near your cage. You reach through the bars with your arms, but can't quite reach it!
