Filling in the Gaps

As you rub your hands together, you think of how painful nicks would be. The hairs on them are insignificant enough that the skin still shows, and they actually feel rather nice, so you decide to focus on the Courvoisier triplets instead.

"I don't think so," you tell the boy, "but I do live down the street. Who exactly are the Courvoisier triplets?"

The boy crushes his cigarette in a nearby ashtray and seats himself. "The Courvoisier triplets," he says with relish, "are only the most eligible spinsters in the tri-state area. I may be on the young side for them, but I can recognise beauty when I see it." Suddenly, he looks up with a start. "Boy, your eyebrows sure grew out in a hurry!" he muses.

Concerned, you run to a mirror, where you see a single growth of hair extending across the base of your forehead. It looks alarmingly like a mutant South American caterpillar. Curiously, it fills out your face better than you could have imagined. "By any chance," you ask, "is this going to be a costume party?"
