Gee, isn't it funny anymore?

"Gee, why aren't you laughing, Fred?", you snarl at the shocked lupine. "A fat werewolf seemed real funny to you a minute ago!"

Fred looks up at you, frozen in panic, his bloated features almost comic as his gape-mouthed expression causes his flabby cheeks to jiggle like water balloons. Down on all fours, he looks even fatter than you do, his belly sprawling around him like a swaddling blanket. As you watch him tremble in panic, you note that his paws can just barely give him traction against your floor, the encasing layer of fat not only splaying them wide, but almost lifting him from the floor. He's so wide now, he looks almost like a badger.

"What?", you continue in anger, "Is it only funny when it's me, is that it?"

"What ...", the wolf stammers, "How ... What'd you do to me?"

"Nothing", you fume. "I don't understand it, either."

"But I don't want to be fat!", he wails. "I look stupid!"

Looking at him, you're inclined to agree. Wobbling from side to side as he struggles to stay standing, his mouth open wide in dismay, his cheeks stretching and shaking like smaller cousins of the big waterbed that is his belly, he really does look ridiculous. It makes you want to laugh ... but should you? True, he deserves it. But you remember it feels really lousy to have someone laugh at you. It's a tough decision, but finally, you ...
